Growing up in Sri Lanka, we grew up with small terra cotta pots. Which were pretty similar to what grown ups use to cook. So we will get handful of rice to put in the pots to play kitchen. We will collect all sorts of vegetables from the garden and pretend to make food!
I never had a play-kitchen. My parents gave me free reign in the real kitchen though… I probably made terrible messes, but because I often created something sweet for them, my parents didn’t complain.
This catapulted me in my childhood! 🥰🥰🥰
