When stretching strudel dough, the thick edges need to be cut off before shaping it into a strudel roll. The leftovers can be repurposed, but for us, it was a material to play with. The dough smelled of yeast and left your hands oily. You could stretch it in all directions, decorate it with grains of pepper and therefore feel like a real chef.
The stink, when we left it sit in our play kitchen for days, was unbearable, though.
What did you play with in your play kitchen?
Until next week, cheers! - Mojca
Growing up in Sri Lanka, we grew up with small terra cotta pots. Which were pretty similar to what grown ups use to cook. So we will get handful of rice to put in the pots to play kitchen. We will collect all sorts of vegetables from the garden and pretend to make food!
This catapulted me in my childhood! 🥰🥰🥰
