When I was in first grade, one teacher lured me and my fellow shy classmate into her office to evaluate our singing skills. We stood side by side, staring at her hands swinging in the air, and tried our best to get the lyrics to the song right. She tried to get us sign our names on the list to join the school choir. Apparently, we sang really well, but as we finished singing the song, we sang her a big NO, too.
Singing in a choir was a popular activity and I’ve always envied all those choir kids. Not for the attention they got when standing awkwardly on choral risers, but for knowing the lyrics to so many songs. Why we haven’t joined the choir, though, I don’t know.
Have you sung in a school choir?
Did you like to sing?
Until next week, cheers! - Mojca
Singing a big no thank you is hilarious! I love your childhood stories so much! (I’ve never been able to sing at all!)
Oh, I miss the choir! I have an ok voice, but all my friends from the last years ar school sung there, so I joined. That year, a great teacher came and taught us to sing properly. I still love it, even if the shower is my only witness! 😂
