One day, I needed a new pair of sneakers. I remember seeing really cool (at least that’s what I thought back then) grey sneakers with wide velcro strip covering the front of each shoe. I instantly grew fond of them but my size was unfortunately out of stock. I’d tried out various shoes. The majority had shoelaces so even if they looked nice and fit me perfectly, I protested. I asked to try out a pair of the grey ones, which were at least one size too big, just to ‘check’ if they would magically fit. I told my mom they were only a teeny tiny bit too big and that with thicker socks they could fit me just fine. Truth is, they didn’t. They were absolutely too big for my feet, so that I had to walk by squeezing my toes for the next several weeks, until I grew into them.
Up to this day, I loathe shoelaces, but somehow I managed to learn how to ignore the irritation they cause.
What type of shoes did you like as a kid?
Did you also hate shoelaces?
Until next week, cheers! - Mojca

Oh my gosh that so cute 😭
